A virtually mint example of one of the rarest cars
Despite the following of the Avante, which is a legendary car, the Avante 2001 is actually the rarer model. Some of the 6 previously listed on Tamiyaclub.com aren't even Avante 2001 NIB kits, or weren't complete. I am lucky enough to have two of this NIB, although I have temporarily lost the other one.
This kit is virtually flawless, but there is tiny print loss on the two short sides and a crease on one side. In terms of collectability, this model scores very highly in my book and many say it actually runs better than the Avante, although I haven't personally driven one to the best of my memory. This model has a longer wheelbase than the original Avante, which is the same as on the Egress and Vanquish models. This model will celebrate its 20th birthday next year and comes with a Sport Tuned motor. The sport tuned motor later appeared in Group C racing car kits.
