I'm sorry guys, I managed to delete the first entry. Happens way to easy, its a shame really! :(
Thanks for all your nice comments so far!. Feel free to add them again. :-)
Its finally done!
After getting my cockpit back from Tizer who painted it for me (once again amazing job my friend!) I was motivated to add the finishing touches to the Porsche. I carefully cut out the drivers window as Tom Burdge, the owner, told me he always drives with the window down. You also get a better view at the driver. I also fabricated a metal fuel filler cap which is integrated in the hood and modded some Tamiya wipers to fit the body.
I think this is the closest I can get to the original. The only thing still missing is the exhaust. I haven't found anything yet that matches the original pipes.
More pics of the original here:

Its a shame the weather today didn't allow me to take some outside shots, so its on the couch again...
Hope you like it!

JennyMo
That looks fantastic - you've even got the front and rear wheels the same (but different, if you see what I mean)... would it be mean to point out the Porsche Sunoco stickers are reversed though? xx
Dante77
JennyMo, on the other side of the car it says 'Sunoco Porsche', which I took as reference. When I realised the drivers side was different, it was too late! Might change it, as I made the decals myself.

my comment again
This one is so nice amazing!
CASE1
Well, no problem watching this again, not at all. But I have to put it in my favs again too. I hope you post it a third time too. (with outside pics)
Dante77
Thanks Kees! I promise you lots of outside pics!
mr. Rallying
Yes, change the drivers side decals. Too bad with that error on an else stunning car. You need to give us pictures of both the 1/10 and the 1/1 in the same frame

Great to see this car finished, good paint job and those drivers looks amezing. Its awesome that you took the same wheels as on the 1:1 car.

This one goes straight to my favs. Amazing - a true RC replica. Nice job on the details. Congratulations! What's next?

Hi Christian - Absolutely stunning - Congratulations !! (Even if it did take you longer than it took me to build the full size one - LOL )
Dante77
Hi Mark, really? But you didn't have to paint the drivers, lol!
Please do link some of your pics here so the others can see your amazing work!

This is certainly one of the best executions of an R/C model replicating a full size ride. One great example for us to all follow- A+++
Dante77
Thanks, buddy! Great to receive such kudos from a modeling master!
scollins
And I'm not just saying that because it has an interior in it my friend, this entire R/C car kicks serious aaaaaa------
OMG, can't believe I happened across this.
You did such a fantastic job.
Do you still have it?
If so, and if you ever decided to sell it, I'd like the right of first refusal.
This is awesome....you are really .
All the best
Tom B.
Dante77
Hi Tom,
very cool to her from you! Yes, I still have it.
It's still missing the front hi beams and an exhaust, so it's in the same state as 10 years ago.
At present it looks like this (changed to real Fuchs front wheels): [Click here]
I think I still have your email from back then, might contact you about this.
All the best
Christian
