Finally after 18 years
Since I was very young I always had admiration for solar energy.I remembered I recieve a little hélicopter with 2 solar pannels and when the sun shines it began to turn. This was pure magic for me and to be honest still is.So imagine when my favorite brand launched this very avantgardistic model.First it has the beauty of his name and second I was dreaming about an RC car that didn't need a recharge after 6 minutes because that was about the time it dures with the first 1200 Mh batterys. When I heard that the model would not be avaible in Europe I still had the picture in my 1994 Tamiya catalogue to dream on.Yesterday it came from Japan and I had absolutely no customs to pay for It.The seller tooks a risk and put 'plastic toy 20 dollars' on the box.I love customs this time :)
P.S. look at the size of the box next to my audi...

Great find! Love the Solar eagle as well. Very strange but yet appealing in a way.

I purchased one of these kits last year. I have not built it, will remain NIB for the time being. Was very impressed that this kit from 1992 is so relevent today. One of my favorite Tamiya kits and one of Tamiya's most unique and fun kits IMHO. Enjoy

Thanks fellow for all this comment. The temptation to build it is very big but one thing is for sure, even if I build it I will probably never will see it move as there is no sun in Belguim. Why did Tamiya not create the rain eagle. It had probably reech a speed of over the 200 mph here.

I congratulate you on your find! Is it still NIB? I could not keep my hands off of mine and built the one I got from Luxembourg about a year ago. You will find it in my showroom along with a bit of the model's history.
