The BigWig - NeoBoxart
I must admit I've never been a huge fan of the Wiggy when it had it's heydays.
Years ago I bought one of the Bay more driven by completing my HotShot-family line-up than owning a must-have model.
The usual restoration process stopped immediately when I realized the prices booked for some parts.
So it went to the pile of unfinished projects until... the Re-Re made it into the shops!
During the restarted resto I realized why I never like the car that much.
Less for technical reason, those are quiet OK not to say a lot better than the rest of the Shots, than for the 'toyish' boxart scheme.
Well, this could be changed I thought... but finally gave me a little headache because most schemes I planned did'nt work with the way the body is designed. Kudos to the boxart scheme Tamiya created!
What next? It took some time to analyse how the wing design basically works but suddenly I had a working paint scheme.
It's different without the need of coloring plastic parts.
Simple and straight.
And the BigWig is growing on me... more and more!
