The 'Special One'
For me there can only be one 'Special One' and that's 'Tamiyaclub' and all you members.
After being made bankrupt in 2009 I was in a pretty bad place and somehow stumbled on to the TC website.
I couldn't believe my eyes. The superb models that you guys were making blew me away. My goal from those early days was to try and become an established member. I was slowly getting myself back on my feet when a surprise gift arrived. My family had all clubbed together and got me a re-release sand scorcher kit.
Yay, I was back in the game and the rest is history.
Most of you know will know what I've been up to since I joined in 2010, so I'm not going to bore you with all that. But I do want to say a huge thank you for all the help I received and advice that I've been able to pass on.
Viewing the site allowed me to remember my first (the Holiday Buggy) and second (the Sand Scorcher) Tamyia's which brought back such good feelings, It sounds silly but I could see a brighter future again.

Very nice mate! You are a class act! I feel for you, l have not gone bankrupt but hit money troubles a few years ago and have ended up on a IVA it's a pain in the bum! But happens to so many these days! I had to stop buying cars and we had to cut right back on everything! But l do still have some cars left in my collection! Just runners! But my collection was cut right down! Gutting!

. I understood you were in a tight spot when you first sold me some of your sand blaster 315 tyres many moons ago, but didnt realise things were that bad 
. But, like many of us, this site helps us to put a smile back on our face, rekindling some of our childhood memories

Steve you are a Legend. You always help me with my models and at a drop of the hat supply me with any RC items. Being able to own your bespoke yellow/white Baja Scorcher has been a honor considering all the blood, sweat & tears gone into that model. I salute you buddy

Great entry Steve, really original idea and I admire your honesty and courage. I knew you'd had some tough times but never realised things had been so bad for you. I hope things have got better for you, and keep getting better! And you're right - this hobby and this site/community/ bunch of like-minded nutters has helped me through some tough times too.
