Overview: Extensively modified Sand Scorcher body on WR-02 wheelie chassis, with custom interior and Willy driver.

Specification:

Chassis: New-built WR-02 chassis (Wheelie Bus kit) with Tamiya ESC, Acoms Steering servo and 2.4Ghz radio gear.

Body: NIP 2010 Sand Scorcher body set, extensively modified to shorten wheelbase by 3 inches! Exterior details include chrome trim, VW bonnet badge, headlights (with LED bulbs) and wipers. Fresh paintwork to replicate Box-Art Scorcher, with genuine 2010 re-re decals applied.

Driver: Interior from Holiday Buggy with custom Wild Willy head and hands/steering wheel, and Nos bottle.

More info: I originally built this model in January 2014 (full build thread on the TC Forum here: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/72064-the-stumpscorcher-two-tamiya-icons-in-one/) and repainted it last Christmas using a combination of traditional Sand Scorcher colours plus a few rust and weathering/damage details on the main body (see photos).

It has only been run a handful of times, and with the body being so low, light and compact is perhaps the ultimate incarnation of a WR-02 vehicle... It would be ideal as either a fun basher, or a unique shelfer - as is your want!
