Good 'ole XR311 Sold 'Jul '12
I've been wanting one of these for sometime but they seem to be thinning out. Spotted this one listed on a local trading site and rather than buying it managed to arrange a trade instead. I gave up an NIB Sand Scorcher re-re for this one. Came from Gravelrider a recent new kiwi Tamiyaclub member (Thanks John and Donna Ann) Also thanks to Type49rs (John) for doing the physical trade and storing her whilst I'm out of the country. I've been restoring my Cheetah and I realised how cool these early cars are. I like the fact that these are scale accurate models first and Radio Control second. Heaps of assembly and painting as well opportunities to do some extra scale features. I'll catch up with this February next year when Kelly and I go back to New Zealand for our wedding :)

Nice one James!

Oh yes, much better than a re-re scorcher, and that's easily replaced anyway. Great kits these - always liked them as they were the runt of the pack back in the day really. Lots of charm.

These are a real basic build chassis-wise, you'll enjoy assembling/painting the body as they're pretty well detailed. John has my old one

Hey no worries James - glad to help out. I'll wrap it up and give it to you (and Kelly) as a wedding present
