Bought this many moons ago, imported for me by a local friendly model shop. It has always been my intention to build and run this model (abeit very slowly), this is one of those kits I always wanted but could never afford in the Beatties shop window!
This is a dry build at the moment and I have yet to decide on box art colours or a unique paint scheme, transmission and gearbox will be fully ball raced along with various additional upgrades befitting a Tamiya 3 speed! Sold

Really gorgeous! The Mounty is a work of art.

Wow you actually held off finishing this majestic beast till today! An all time fav 3speeder in my books and (I know i'll be sparking another controvesy and debate debacle) it's better looking than it's 'cab' version sibling!

Looks great in just built mode. Box-art or not is the biggest question, only you can answer that one.. NOT!

So mint.... I think the Mountaineer has one of the most amazing boxart paint and decal schemes. It looks so 'classic 80's' livery. If you go non boxart, you have to better it My favorite 3 speed. Oh to be in your predicament...

This is an awesome machine! It is my favorite of the vintage 3-speeds. I sure do adore mine. I'm sure you will as well. Boxart!

Great you had the chance to Build from nib. I had THW chance too and I know how much joy it is. But, I would not run the truck but keep it boxart painted on the shelf. Buy another used Mounty or Bruiser runner

I agree with TamTom. A shelfer for sure! Just like mine.
