Well this started off as Rainbow Warrior (see link at bottom of page). It was bought on a whim to get the axles and wheels for use with a CPE Terminator chassis. On arrival it was more rainbow than even i imagined. Never mind, crack out the grafitti remover and away we go - errr, not really :(

The grafitti remover discoloured the main chassis tub and dulled the rest of the painted chassis parts. It did a good job on the shell though !

I'd started amassing new parts as i always do on these projects and it soon became clear that i should 'restore' this one and use all new parts for the CPE build. And so this became a full on rebuild - not exactly true to original, as I used a Bullhead red chassis, coupled to Traxxas T-Maxx shocks and later Super Clod Buster chrome and decals. The shell was painted Ford Platinum Silver, as were the wheels (two toned with darker Ford Sea Grey).

Fully ball raced and running twin Torque Tuned motors coupled to a TEU-106 ESC it runs pretty well and at a safe speed to protect the new roll bar, spotlights and chromeware front and rear. The original bowtie grille is safe n sound, the later grille is good enough for a runner.

I was intending to sell this, but i like the colour combos and this one may well adorn the shelves for a while yet.

Thanks for looking - comments always welcomed ;)

@puffdog - my definition of a runner is 15 minutes exercise per year (if they are lucky). I enjoy the building so much more than the running

It is quite a transformation from the rainbow monster to a really smart looking piece of kit. The colour combo is spot as well. A good job well done Percymon.

Woot woot! I've just bought this off Percymon and I have to say it's a cracking example of a Clod. It's only going to see light use so it will stay more or less in this condition for ever more!
