It took some time to build up confidence to start on this model, as I always fear hard plastic models when it comes to painting and detailing. Add to that that the windows of the countach bodysets are hard to fit..
I decided to go for the red version, as on the cover of the 1980 (first) Guide Book. I left out the big decals on the lower sides to make it to the specs of the real Countach specially made for Walther Wolf by Lamborghini.
All the flat black painting is done by hand, and took a few hours to finish. And I had to cut the one-piece window in three to make it fit. The re-issue bodyset window was not in good enough shape to tif the body without cutting. I cut out the front window down the A-pillar, and left the side windows as one piece.
The chassis came some time ago from fellow TC member Luke (may the force be with you...) and only needed some original wheels and some cleaning.
All considered, I am very happy with the result. What do you think?
Thank you for looking,
Lars
