Hello everyone,

Here is my finished Super Champ. I couldn't wait for the summer to paint it, but fortunately things went good.

I've done it in same livery as my Camaro and I think it suits quite well this late 70's style buggy.
The final touch I would like to add is window nets so if you guys have any clue regarding everyday stuff that would make the trick, I'm all ears!

Thanks for watching and enjoy!

Very nice buggy! like th echoice of body colors along with the colors on the chassis. Did you paint the aluminum yourself or get it powdercoated? Window net: ebay ID # 140319162875 Plenty for the windows on the SC.

Very Nice Work on this one congratulations! Very Authentic and great attention to detail - such things as the front dampers! Driver looks fantastic!

That looks great mate. Paint job is very nice. If you want window nets you should find yourself a re-re Hotshot window net bag. There pretty cheap and should do the job to a T. Hope this helps.

@Brandon: thanks for the ebay ID, I'll get that! The parts were simply painted satin black
@WW-nut: Unfortunately, I didn't take the pics myself. They were taken by a great friend of mine who makes a living as a photographer

AWESOME CHAMP, that is what I would name this. Caution, the RE RE HotShot window net is noticeably different than the vintage stuff. I think a fabric store might have a mesh or perhaps a hardware store might have some window screen??? Just some things I have thought of to better match the scale. This is in my favorites and I would like to find a front bumper like that. Where did you get it or make it???

Awsome! to say the least. This would have to be my most favorite car on TC. Why firstly because the super champ would have to be my most wanted buggy and secondly this to is the best looking non box art SC i`ve seen while keeping the Super Champ look. Not to mention I think the bumper you have used really is the nicest without going overboard. Great work, now all we need is some action pics! Buy the way i`ve used some alu wire mesh for my SC, found it at the local hardware store. You can check it out in my showroom. once again a pleasure to the eye!

I found your superchamp on the net months back and in the last week decided to look on the Tamiya club and found it, what an amazing paint scheme, the choice of colours is the seventy's and is stunning. So I would love to copy your paint version and as a mark of total respect thought I would message you first. Just so I know is that OK with you. This is by far the best looking superchamp I have seen and gave me the encouragement to obtain an original in superb condition, I have already sourced a body set for it ready for the painting process.
Anyways nuff respect....... Hope I hear back from you.

Hello Pinpoint,
Thanks a lot for your comments! I don't own any rights for this paintscheme and saw it before on another car so feel free to use it, and I look forward to seeing your results. Good luck!

I just looked at your Super Champ and it is great. I wanted to leave a comment but it seems I can't, probably because I'm not a suscribed member anymore (though I can't understand why I'm able to comment on my own entries...).

Anyway, well done with yours, the only thing I would had is some tire lettering and the screws on the front wheels.
